Police arrest man after discovery of outstanding warrant

PETALUMA (BCN) — Police arrested a 52-year-old man in Petaluma Sunday afternoon after officers discovered the man had an outstanding warrant.

At 1:13 p.m., police were dispatched to the 300 block of Jacquelyn Lane for a report of person possibly stealing construction supplies, according to police.

When officers arrived, officers located a suspect, later identified as Napa resident Shaun Nutcher, police said.

Nutcher initially refused officers’ commands, but ultimately complied, according to police.

After officers detained Nutcher, officers found that had an outstanding $125,000 warrant for his arrest out of San Bernadino County in Southern California for drug possession, police said.

After an investigation, officers determined that a resident had given Nutcher permission to take the construction supplies, according to police.

Officers arrested Nutcher for the outstanding warrant and booked him into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility, police said.
