Rob Black’s Winners and Losers: China’s economy, Oprah joins Weight Watchers and Match Group goes public

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — On today’s edition of Rob Black’s Winners and Losers, our financial expert Rob Black and KRON 4’s Mark Danon to discuss China’s economy, Oprah buys Weight Watchers stock and Match Group goes public.

China’s economic growth has hit a 6-year low. According to Black, the news coming out of China is not something that we should worry about.

Actress and media magnate Oprah Winfrey is buying a 10 percent stake in Weight Watchers and joining the company’s board. Shares of the weight management company soared on Monday after she made the announcement, proving that everything she touches turns to gold.

Match Group, the company that oversees online dating services such as Tinder, and OkCupid, filed to go public Friday despite an unsteady stock market that has led several companies to recently pull IPO plans.
