BERKELEY (KRON) — In the East Bay, there are more concerns as police continue to look for a man they said is wanted for trying to kidnap children.
In the last month, there have been four separate cases. Police said they working on several leads.
All of the four separate cases have taken place around the neighborhood of Willard Middle School in Berkeley on Stuart Street. Police said they are receiving a lot of help from the community as they work on this important case.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in either his 20s or 30s. Police said he was driving a dark-colored older model van.
According to police, the victims said the man approaches them and then tries to get them to come inside the van. And while there is still no suspect in custody, police said they want to send out this message.
“If you can right now, make sure you walk together or get a ride from a parent,” one police officer said.
In the meantime, as police continue to look for suspects, residents said they are on guard.
