CARSON CITY (KRON) — A 7-year-old Nevada boy was rushed to the emergency room after picking up a teddy bear stuffed with drug needles.
On Wednesday, officials from Mark Twain Elementary School reported that the child picked up a teddy bear and was pricked by a needle. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office said he was pricked by one of five syringes hidden inside the toy.
Police said the syringes tested positive for methamphetamine. They are being tested for any diseases.
Officers said the boy found the stuffed animal in a trash can on the school’s playground. The boy was taken to a local hospital.
Police are still investigating the case.
