PALO ALTO (KRON) — Palo Alto police said they arrested a man Tuesday afternoon in connection to a string of burglaries.
Officers said 21-year-old James Broughton is facing several charges after he allegedly burglarized three separate homes. On Monday police said they received three separate reports of homes only blocks apart.
Police said homes were ransacked and items were stolen. Police were able to identify Broughton and arrested him.
Police said all three burglaries happened this week, and the suspect entered the homes through unlocked doors or windows.
At the time of his arrest, he was found to be in possession of property stolen during the burglaries.
Police said Broughton will be booked into Santa Clara County jail for felony residential burglary and possession of stolen property.
