Police investigating Danville house fire caused by arson

DANVILLE (KRON) — Danville Police and the San Ramon Valley Protection District are investigating a fire at a Danville home that has been caused by arson.

The home is located on Linda Mesa Avenue. The damages to the home is at estimated to be around $210,000, according to SRVFPD Deputy Fire Marshall David Stevens.

Firefighters aggressively were able to attack the fire and contain it within 30 minutes, according to SRVFPD Battalion Chief Jim Selover.

Police responded to assist the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District around 8:20 PM Saturday night. Witnesses told police that they saw a subject throw an object at the home and quickly left the scene.

No arrests have been made, yet. The incident remains under investigation.
