Oakland Raiders say thanks to Bay Area’s wounded warriors ahead of Veterans Day

OAKLAND (KRON) — Veterans Day is this Wednesday, but the Oakland Raiders took a break in their schedule to honor a group of Bay Area vets for their service.

On Monday, some of the team’s biggest stars were on hand to spend time with these military heroes at the Raiders practice facility in Alameda.

Organizations there include Sentinels of Freedom, Wounded Warrior Project and Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

Football players are sometimes referred to warriors on the field but players say these veterans are the true warriors.

Check out the video above to see how the team paid tribute to some local veterans.
