Alameda woman, son face criminal charges in connection with death of teen during party

ALAMEDA (KRON) — An East Bay woman and her son are facing criminal charges in connection with the death of a teenager, who allegedly mixed prescription drugs and alcohol, during a party at their Alameda home, according to police.

Investigators said 17-year-old Clay Harding died at the home last November, police said. The 57-year-old woman and her son, who graduated from Alameda high school this year, are charged with child endangerment and obstructing a police investigation, according to police.

Their next court date is Dec, 30.
