UPDATE 6:06 AM – The gravel spill has been cleared and all lanes of 580 are open.
DUBLIN (KRON) — A gravel spill on westbound 580 in Dublin has three right lanes blocked early Tuesday morning.
Around 11:39 p.m. Monday night, Caltrans responded to a report of a gravel spill on 580 at Dougherty Road just before the Dublin interchange.
California Highway Patrol issued a sigalert around 4:46 a.m.
CHP estimates that it will take another 2 hours to clean up the spill.
The lanes are expected to reopen around 7 a.m.
It is advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
