Convenience store robbed at gun point near Redwood City

REDWOOD CITY (BCN) — Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Wednesday morning in unincorporated San Mateo County, near Redwood City.

After entering a Quick Stop in the 3000 block of Middlefield Road at 5:03 a.m., the suspect brandished and demanded cash.

The suspect fled the scene with roughly $400 in cash, according to deputies, running north on Middlefield Road and east on Eighth Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or white man in his mid-20s. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black jacket, black shirt, black beanie, gray gloves and a gray painter’s mask.
