MILLBRAE (KRON, BCN) — Investigators have arrested three women and a man in Millbrae earlier in November in connection with pimping in a human trafficking sting operation, according to San Mateo County sheriff’s officials.
Investigators arrested Brandon Sena, 24, of Sacramento on Nov. 12 at a motel after he allegedly dropped off his 18-year-old girlfriend, who had agreed to have sex with an undercover investigator for money, according to sheriff’s officials.
Investigators have evidence alleging Sena had pimped his girlfriend at other places in the Bay Area, sheriff’s officials said. Investigators also arrested three women on suspicion of prostitution, according to sheriff’s officials.
The district attorney’s office will determine whether the women were forced into prostitution or acted on their own in soliciting sex before deciding whether to file charges, sheriff’s office spokesman Deputy Sal Zuno said.
Sena’s arrest was part of a sting operation involving soliciting prostitutes on the Internet to find victims of human trafficking, sheriff’s officials said.
Sena has a criminal history of robbery, participating in a gang, assault with a firearm, and shooting into a home, according to sheriff’s officials.
He is presently on probation, sheriff’s officials said. Anyone with information about human trafficking in San Mateo County is asked to get in touch with Detective Kevin Giovannoni at (650) 802-4287 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
