SALINAS (KRON) — Salinas police are investigating a Thursday night shooting that sent a 19-year-old victim to the hospital.
Officers responded at 9:23 p.m. to a residence in the 300 block of Cross Avenue on a report of a shooting, according to police.
Officers learned two men, 19 and 20 years old, were standing in front of a residence when a Hispanic man approached on foot, pointed a gun at the victims and fired several shots at the men.
The 19-year-old was shot in the legs. His injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
The 20-year-old was not injured in the shooting.
Police said the incident is considered gang-related.
