ANTIOCH (KRON) — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and two others wounded Saturday night in Antioch.
According to police, at about 9 p.m., the three victims were smoking outside an apartment on the 1400 block of Sycamore Drive when they were approached by another group.
“As the unknown subjects approached the victims they began shooting at them, striking all 3 victims,” said Antioch Police in a release.
The suspects fled the scene and are outstanding, police said.
Officers responded to the scene and located the three shooting victims.
One of the victims, described as an 18-year-old Pittsburg man, was found unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. Crews transported the victim to an area hospital where he later died, according to police.
The other two victims, an 18-year-old Antioch male and a 24-year-old male out of Pittsburg, had non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Both were treated at an area hospital and released.
