SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco’s “Hot Cop,” who was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run Sunday, has been formally charged with two counts of felony hit-and-run, according to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
The arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday.
Police said he had been on medical leave and could not be suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. San Francisco police are looking into whether Ofc. Christopher Kohrs was intoxicated when he struck two pedestrians in North Beach and then fled the scene early Sunday morning, a police spokesman said.
Kohrs ditched his Dodge Charger at the scene and ran away, according to police.
The 38-year-old officer was arrested and booked into jail for investigation of felony hit-and-run.
Kohrs, also known as “Hot Cop of Castro,” attracted a large following on social media that led to Facebook fan pages filled with photos and comments from numerous admirers.
“The sexyest cop ive ever seen. Damn he vould frisk me anyday [sic],” commented Diane Whitehorse.
