Motorcyclist killed in Vallejo crash due to speed and reckless driving

VALLEJO (KRON) – A man was killed when he crashed his motorcycle in Vallejo on Tuesday.

Officers responded at 9:11 p.m. to a crash involving a single motorcycle at the intersection of Lake Herman Road and Columbus Parkway.

Curtis Lee Gammon, 29, of Vallejo, was riding his 2008 Suzuki GSXR west on Lake Herman Road with a group of other motorcycles when he struck the center median and crashed, police said.

Gammon was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police.

Police said speed and reckless driving appear to have played a factor in the crash. Officers are working to determine if alcohol also played a factor in the crash.
