SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco’s “Hot Cop,” who was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run Sunday, is expected to be in court Wednesday afternoon to be formally charged with two counts of felony hit-and-run, according to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
SFPD Ofc. Christopher Kohrs’ attorney moved the arraignment ahead to Wednesday afternoon from Thursday.
Kohrs is accused of striking two pedestrians in North Beach and then fleeing the scene early Sunday morning, a police spokesman said.
Police say Kohrs ditched his Dodge Charger at the scene, according to police.
The 38-year-old officer was arrested and booked into jail for investigation of felony hit-and-run.
He was on medical leave at the time of the incident and will not be suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
Kohrs, also known as “Hot Cop of Castro,” attracted a large following on social media that led to Facebook fan pages filled with photos and comments from numerous admirers.
“The sexyest cop ive ever seen. Damn he vould frisk me anyday [sic],” commented Diane Whitehorse.
