SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Three people suffered smoke inhalation and two apartment buildings were damaged this morning during a two-alarm fire in San Francisco’s Marina District, according to fire officials.
The fire broke out at 2533 Lombard Street in a three-story building near Divisadero Street around 6:53 a.m., according to fire officials.
SFFD tweeted that the fire on the second and third floors spread to an adjacent building at 2525 Lombard Street.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control at 7:23 a.m., fire officials said.
Firefighters were advising people to avoid the area of Lombard and Divisadero Street.
Talmadge said four adults were displaced by the blaze and that three patients were transported to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
