At least one dead in accident on Hwy 101 north of Santa Rosa

WINDSOR (BCN) — All lanes of northbound U.S Highway 101 in Windsor have reopened this morning after the California Highway Patrol issued a Sig-alert as they
investigated a fatal traffic accident that happened late Sunday night.

At 11:06 p.m. California Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of an unknown object in one of the highway’s northbound lanes just north of Shiloh Road, according to CHP officials.

A short while later officers issued a Sig-alert and began directing all northbound traffic off the highway and onto Shiloh Road, as officers believed a pedestrian may have been struck, CHP officials said.

At 4:49 a.m. the CHP cancelled the Sig-alert and reopened all lanes of the highway, according to CHP officials.

No other information was immediately available.
