Wheelchair-bound woman attacked, stabbed in the neck in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police have arrested a 25-year-old man suspected of stabbing a woman multiple times as she sat in her wheelchair Sunday afternoon.

The brutal attack happened at around 5:30 p.m. at Ninth and Mission streets in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood, according to police.

The suspect approached the victim and cut her neck multiple times with a kitchen knife, police said.

The victim, identified only as a 58-year-old female, was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene but police arrested the man with the help of a witness who led them to the alleged assailant.

No further information about the incident or the suspect has been released.
