Bullets graze man during shooting in Concord

CONCORD (BCN) — Two bullets grazed a man’s nose and shoulder on Tuesday night during a shooting in Concord, according to police.

Police officers were dispatched at 10:22 p.m. to reports of the sound of shots being fired at Meadow and Gelbke lanes, Cpl. Christopher Blakely said.

Responding officers found a male victim at the scene suffering injuries that were not considered life-threatening, Blakely said.

Blakely said two bullets had grazed the victim, one on his nose and one on his shoulder. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of the wounds and was released shortly afterward.

The victim said he didn’t know the suspect, who was described as a man with an orange or yellow SUV, Blakely said.

Police are investigating the potential motive for the shooting and are looking for the suspect. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Concord police at (925) 671-3220.
