PALO ALTO (KRON) — A thief is seen on camera stealing packages right off of a front porch in Palo Alto, and police are asking for the public’s help identifying the man in the video.
Police said it happened at around 3:52 p.m. last Saturday. The victim was out of town, and after reviewing her home surveillance system, she found that five packages were taken from her porch on the 2700 block of South Court.
Police said the victim reported the packages stolen on Thursday morning.
Video showed the suspect driving slowly, in a red 1990s four-door sedan, possibly a Nissa Sentra, through the neighborhood, and then parking right in front of her house. The car had tinted rear windows and no hubcaps, police said.
The suspect appears to be a Hispanic man, between 25 and 30 years old, and around 5 feet 8 inches tall, with an average build and a mustache. He was wearing a black T-shirt with a red “Superman” logo on the front.
He also was wearing an unzipped white sweatshirt with the hood up, blue pants, along with black sports sandals and white socks.
The estimated value of the stolen packages were $600, according to police.
