All lane open after four car collision in Caldecott Tunnel

OAKLAND (BCN) — Lanes have reopened following a multi-vehicle crash in the left westbound bore of the Caldecott Tunnel Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision involving four vehicles was reported just after 8:30 a.m. on westbound state Highway 24 in the tunnel connecting Orinda to Oakland, CHP officials said.

While ambulances were initially dispatched, a CHP official said it now appears there were no injuries in the crash.

All lanes in the tunnel reopened as of shortly after 9:05 a.m., according to the CHP.
