San Francisco police looking for missing at-risk elderly man

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police are looking for an at-risk elderly man who went missing from the Richmond District Monday afternoon, police said.

Police said 80-year-old Orlando Fernandez was last seen at around 3:10 p.m. leaving Kaiser Hospital, located at 2425 Geary Blvd. Fernandez has been known to be in and around Pier 39, and also the Ingleside District, where he lives, police said.

Fernandez suffers from dementia and is required to take medication, according to police.

Police describe Fernandez as Hispanic, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. He was wearing a black and white checkered jacket, with black shoes and black pants.

Police said Fernandez may also be carrying a small, black tote bag.
