HOLLYWOOD (KRON) — Talking during the showing of “Force Awakens” is not very Jedi, but you’re asking to be fed to a sarlacc if you stop the movie then fast-forward to the end of the flick.
That happened to a packed audience at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood early Friday morning. They were hoping to be among the first to watch the eagerly anticipated sequel “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on opening weekend.
“Projector at Star Wars midnight 3D show at the Arclight ruined, stopped, then started again towards the end of the movie,” said Erik Melendez, who posted cell phone video of the moment on Facebook.
Several people in the crowd yelled “No no no!”
Many thought they were about to see the ending of the movie without preceding plot developments, Melendez told CNN.
“Now that we watched the movie, we know it wasn’t the ending,” Melendez said. “However, at the time, we thought it was because we saw the movie fast forwarded and believed it to be spoilers.”
