KING CITY (BCN) — At least one person died after a fatal traffic collision late Monday night on U.S. Highway 101 in King City.
At 11:44 p.m. California Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of a head-on collision in the highway’s northbound lanes at Broadway Street, according to the CHP.
A van reportedly hit a Toyota Camry head-on, CHP officials said.
CHP officers shutdown the northbound lanes of the highway and led traffic onto the Broadway Street off-ramp and back onto the highway through the on-ramp, a CHP dispatcher said.
CHP officials did not give an estimated time for when the highway’s northbound lanes would reopen.
