SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Despite a rough season for the San Francisco 49ers, the team is still sending a couple players to Hawaii this January.

Pro Bowl selections were announced Tuesday afternoon and NaVorro Bowman and Joe Staley will be representing the Niners contingent.

This is Bowman’s third selection. The linebacker is tied for the most tackles in the league this year with 136.

As for Staley, this is his fifth all-star game. Alex Boone was also picked as an alternate.

As for the Oakland Raiders, they have the most selections for the team since 2011.

Khalil Mack, Marcel Reece, and Charles Woodson all made the Honolulu cut.

In only his second year, Mack has a league-best 15 sacks and is one away from tying the franchise record.

Reece has been selected for a fourth-straight year while Woodson is ending his career in style with a ninth Pro Bowl.

The 18-year veteran has five interceptions this season and has pushed through injuries to start every game this year.

On the topic of Woodson, this Thursday will be his final home game.
