Two pedestrians hit by car in Antioch, one critically injured

ANTIOCH (KRON) – A car struck two pedestrians, critically injuring one of them, in Antioch Tuesday morning, according to police.

Officers responded around 6:30 a.m. to a traffic collision reported at the intersection of Lone Tree Wat and Davison Drive, police said.

Police learned that an SUV driving through the intersection struck two people walking in the roadway.

Both of the pedestrians were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries, with one reported in critical condition.

The SUV’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. It does not appear that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision, police said.
