MILPITAS (KRON) — Fairfield police have arrested a 30-year-old man after a confrontation with authorities in front of the Fairfield Courthouse on Wednesday afternoon, according to Sgt. Dax West.
Police said at around 2:23 p.m., Brody Shore was asked by an officer to leave the area. But when he refused, Shore pulled out a knife toward the officer, West said.
Sheriff’s deputies inside the courthouse responded to the scene, but Shore would not drop the knife after they asked multiple times for him to do so, West said.
Deputies said they tased Shore and took him into custody. Shore was taken to a medical center for medical clearance.
Shore was booked into Solano County Jail for “exhibiting a deadly weapon and resisting/obstructing a public officer.”
His bail is set at $5,000.
