SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A shoplifter brandished a box cutter at a security officer when confronted about stealing ice tea and razors from a store in San Francisco Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
Police said the incident happened at around 4:20 p.m. in the 400 block of Powell Street. A 26-year-old man was arrested by police.
His name has not been released.
The man allegedly threatened store security using a box cutter when he was approached about items he stole, police said.
The security officer did manage to subdue the suspect after a brief scuffle, police said, but he may have broken his hand during the incident.
No other details were made available by police
