SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — It was a wet and windy Christmas Eve in the Bay Area.
There were spotty showers throughout the day, and even snow in some parts of the Bay Area, like on Mt. Hamilton near San Jose.
The round of storms brought heavy rain, wind, and now a drop in temperatures.
Also, the king tide has arrived, which means Shoreline Highway under Highway 101 in Marin has succumbed to floodwaters. Caltrans had closed the parking lot and the roadway in anticipation, and it stationed employees to keep motorists from trying their luck.
