SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — South San Francisco police said they have arrested a suspect in a string of residential burglaries in the area recently.
South San Francisco police said many Bay Area cities have seen a rash of these incidents over the last few month, and that their city was no exception.
But there has been an arrest in at least one these recent burglaries, police said, at a home in the 500 block of Hibiscus Drive.
A plainclothes police officer interrupted a burglary at the home, and although the suspects initially evaded police, a suspect was later identified.
Brandon Burks, 21, of Antioch, was allegedly one of the involved parties. Police arrested him on suspicion of first-degree burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy, police said.
Police are still looking for other suspects and are asking residents to remain vigilant in reporting such incidents.
Anyone with information about these cases can reach South San Francisco police at (650) 877-8900.
