OAKLAND (KRON) — Oakland Raiders’s Marcel Reece, RB, has been suspended by the Commissioner for the next four regular or post season games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances, the team said in a statement Monday.
He is no longer eligible to participate in the 2016 Pro Bowl.
Reece was among three Raiders players named to 2016 Pro Bowl alongside safety Charles Woodson and defensive end Khalil Mack. Three other Raiders players were named alternates.
Reece’s suspension begins immediately. He can participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games. Reece is eligible to return to the active roster after the third game of the 2016 regular season.
The four-time Pro Bowler has played in all 14 games for the Raiders this year and totaled 28 receptions for 266 yards with three touchdowns and 10 carries for 36 yards, according to the team.
