Five arrested on outstanding warrants during DUI sweep in Concord

CONCORD (BCN) — Five people were arrested on outstanding warrants for driving under the influence during a sweep conducted by the Concord Police Department, officers said Tuesday.

Police served dozens of warrants for “high risk DUI offenders,” ultimately arresting five suspects who either failed to appear in court of violated the terms of their probation.

The sweep was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, according to police.
