VACAVILLE (KRON) — A Vacaville couple were arrested Tuesday night following a two-month drug investigation that led officers to their apartment where they discovered an array of drugs, a loaded weapon, and payment sheets, police said.
A toddler was living in the home with the couple.
Sean Kennedy, 27, and Mariah Tipton, 22, were booked into Solano County Jail on a number of offenses including heroin sales, firearm possession charges, and child endangerment.
A SWAT team and other personnel served a search warrant at 4:51 p.m. at an apartment in the 100 block of Aegean Way. The warrant was the culmination of a two-month investigation by the Narcotic’s Enforcement Team, according to police.
Officers found about three ounces of heroin, methamphetamine, a loaded .22 caliber revolver, marijuana, scales, packing materials and payment sheets, according to Vacaville police Sgt. Scott Whitehouse.
“A three year old child lives in the home and the pair were additionally arrested on child endangerment and fortifying a building to sell drugs charges after large 4×4 blocks were found used to barricade the front door,” police said in a release.
The child was with relatives when officers searched the home. The boy is currently in the custody of his grandmother, according to Whitehouse.
