SAN DIEGO (KSWB/CNN) — Twins share lots of things but these two siblings won’t have to share the same birthday party.
They were born on different days and different years in San Diego.
Jaelyn Valencia was born at 11:59 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Her little twin brother, Luis, was born at 12:02 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
The twins were born to mother Maribel, 22, and her husband, Luis Valencia, at San Diego Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center.
“We were actually watching the clock. So it means like two birthday parties back-to-back,” their father Luis Valencia said.
Both babies are happy and healthy.
Their parents weren’t expecting them for another month.
They had to cancel their New Year’s Eve plans for their exciting special delivery.
