SANTA ROSA (BCN) — Police arrested three people on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol at a checkpoint Saturday night in Santa Rosa.
Officers set up the checkpoint at Stony Point Road and Stony Circle between the hours of 7 p.m. and 1:30 a.m., according to police.
During the checkpoint, officers screened 756 vehicles, according to police.
Police want to remind residents that driving while under the influence is preventable and that they should designate a sober driver or call a cab if they are too impaired to drive.
In addition, officers are encouraging residents to call 911 to report anyone they suspect may be driving drunk, police said.
