Report: 49ers expected to fire coach Jim Tomsula

SANTA CLARA (KRON) — The San Francisco 49ers are expected to fire head coach Jim Tomsula, according to multiple reports. However, the same reports claim that general manager Trent Baalke will keep his position.

San Francisco is only 4-11 on the season, much to the disappointment of their players, staff, and fans. They rank last in the NFL in points scored, 31st in total yards, and 30th in pass yards.

This season has been a tough one for the red and gold. Popular quarterback Colin Kaepernick was benched in favor of Blaine Gabbert and didn’t play the final few games of the season due to a shoulder injury.

The 49ers play their last game of the season against the St. Louis Rams at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 1:25 p.m.

Sports Talk Live will have highlights and reaction at 9 p.m. on KRON 4.
