SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A man is suffering from life-threatening injuries after being stabbed Wednesday morning in San Francisco’s Mission District, police said.
Dennis Wilmont, 66, of San Francisco, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after he stabbed a man outside his apartment around 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of 16th Street, according to police.
The victim, a 51-year-old man, was trying to deliver food to a friend when the incident happened, police said.
After a verbal argument, Wilmont allegedly stabbed the victim in the abdomen with a knife before retreating into his apartment.
Police said the victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers arrested Wilmont, whose name is not yet being released, and recovered the knife used in the stabbing.
An update on his condition was not immediately available today.
