Man wanted for burglary arrested after found with stolen truck

MILPITAS (BCN) — Police arrested a Morgan Hill man last month after they discovered him inside a stolen in car in Milpitas, police announced Saturday.

On Dec. 30 at 12:24 a.m., an officer was patrolling the Wal-Mart parking lot, located at 301 Ranch Drive, when he noticed a white Ford pickup truck with a man inside, according to police.

The officer discovered the truck had been reported stolen out of San Jose on Dec. 27.

As the driver exited the truck and attempted to enter the store, the officer contacted the man and detained him, police said.

He has been identified Rocky Stanley, 38.

The officer discovered Stanley had a warrant for his arrest from San Benito County for burglary and possession of methamphetamine, according to police.

The officer then arrested Stanley on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, possessing stolen property, providing a false name and possession of a controlled substance, as well as for the outstanding warrant, police said.
