SANTA ROSA (BCN) — Fire officials are investigating the cause of a structure fire that injured a firefighter Sunday Night in Santa Rosa.
At 9:23 p.m. firefighters responded to reports of a fire at 2786 Dutton Meadow Dr., fire officials said.
According to fire officials, crews found the building had plywood on the doors and windows that had to be removed before a fire attack could begin.
A firefighter suffered a twisted ankle after their foot broke through the floor of the structure, according to fire officials.
Fire officials said crews were able to extinguish the fire after an aggressive fire attack.
The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage, according to fire officials.
There were no apparent occupants of the structure, and the fire is being deemed suspicious and is under investigation fire officials said.
