Police investigate armed robbery at sandwich shop

FREMONT (KRON) — Police are searching for clues in an armed robbery that happened Monday at a Fremont sandwich shop.

The deli was robbed at about 8:51 p.m. in the 34100 block of Fremont Boulevard, according to police.

Two masked men entered the shop wielding a gun and knife and robbed employees of cash. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

One suspect is described as a heavy set white or Hispanic man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and wearing a red jacket, black baseball hate and black jeans.

The second suspect is described as a white man wearing a black Raiders hooded sweatshirt a ski mask and black jeans.
