Fire at Santa Rosa linen cleaning business causes $100,000 in damage

SANTA ROSA (KRON/BCN) — A fire Friday night at a warehouse containing a linen cleaning service in Santa Rosa caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.

The Santa Rosa Fire Department and the Rincon Valley Fire Protection District responded Friday at 10:34 p.m. to a water flow alarm at 3016 Dutton Ave.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the rear of a building that housed a commercial linen cleaning service.

Fire crews located a moderate fire inside the building and were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it appears the fire started in large carts containing rags, firefighters said.

The damage and loss due to the fire was estimated at $100,000.
