SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a swimmer at Ocean Beach Tuesday afternoon.
The rescue happened at around 2 p.m. when a Coast Guard team on routine training was over the Golden Gate Bridge area. They noticed a male swimmer in distress and were able to rescue him with the help of the San Francisco Fire Department, the Coast Guard said.
A Coast Guard swimmer deployed from a helicopter to save the man. The man was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
