Livermore police arrest caretaker for felony abuse of infant

Moriah Gonzales

LIVERMORE (KRON) — Livermore police have arrested a caretaker accused of physically abusing a 13-month-old boy, according to Sgt. Steve Goard.

Police said they got a call about the alleged abuse in the early morning hours of Feb. 18. Police later arrested 20-year-old Moriah Gonzalez for felony child abuse, police said.

She was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

“On Friday, February 19th, LPD Detectives presented the case to the Alameda District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney filed one count of 273a(a) PC against Moriah Gonzales,” Goard said in a press release.

Police say Gonzales used the popular babysitting website to advertise her services.

Now, police are asking if anyone know this nanny or has used her services in the past.

The investigation is ongoing and police said they would not release any more information.
