Lanes reopened after major crash on I-280 in San Jose

SAN JOSE (KRON) — All southbound lanes of I-280 have reopened in San Jose Wednesday morning after a major crash involving multiple cars.

The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on southbound I-280 just north of Wolfe Road, according to California Highway Patrol.

At 5:42 a.m. the CHP calles all lanes on the highway due to debris in the road as well as at least two vehicles on fire and several flipped over.

The lanes were reopened by 6:40 a.m.

Minor injuries were reported, but further details on the injuries are unclear at this time.
