FAIRFIELD (KRON) — Fairfield police have arrested a convicted felon Tuesday morning accused of having a loaded gun, police said.
Police spokesman Cade Beckwith said officers recognized the suspect at around 11:47 a.m. on Nottingham and Stratford drives. The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Jabari Mason, who was wanted.
As Mason was being handcuffed, he told police he had a handgun in his waistband, police said.
Mason is a Fairfield resident, Beckwith said.
He was booked into Solano County Jail for possession of a loaded and concealed firearm, and for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
