My KRON 4: Burglars break into Pittsburg car stereo store twice overnight

PITTSBURG (KRON) — In this MYKRON4Story, burglars broke into a car stereo store in the East Bay, not once, but twice overnight.

Security camera video from Superior Sounds in Pittsburg shows the burglary in progress. During the first break-in at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, the thief rammed his SUV into the entrance and starts to take things, the owner said.

He got away with several high-end car navigation systems. Just a few hours later, thieves come back at 6:30 a.m. Friday. This time, there were two of them.

They took more of the expensive navigation systems and the entire register, with cash inside.

After watching the video, the owner, who did not want to show his face, told KRON he recognized the thieves because they posed as customers before.

“They seemed like they came out, scoped out the place before, knew exactly what they wanted, exactly what they needed, and they got the job done,” owner David Banga said.

The owner now has to replace the door, get a new register, and deal with insurance.

He estimated he lost several thousands of dollars after the break-in.

He said he wants to share his story, so another store does not get taken advantage of.

If the guys in the video look familiar, you’re asked to call the police.
