(NEWS10) – The hacker group, “Anonymous,” is going after Donald Trump.

All of the presidential candidate’s personal information was released, including his social security number and date of birth.

Local cybersecurity firm GreyCastle Security said it’s a different kind of threat. Company CEO Reg Harnish said the group is trying to send a political message that Trump is vulnerable.

“Where your reputation is important, credibility is important, trust is important,” he said. “If you can undermine those things, you’ve effectively limited their ability to be successful. And you didn’t have to steal a dollar.”

Harnish said it’s important to have a plan that prevents, detects and corrects a hack that could make personal information vulnerable like in the Trump case.
