(BCN) – Eight people were stopped and cited by police for driving on a suspended license during a court sting operation in Salinas on Wednesday, police said.
The sting operation was conducted from 8 a.m. to noon at the Monterey County Courthouse at 240 Church St.
Undercover officers were inside a courtroom as the court arraigned people on driving offenses, according to police. Some people were told they could not drive until they were licensed and insured.
Most people obeyed the judge and had someone else drive them home, but eight people did not, police said.
Marked patrol units stopped the eight as they were driving away from the courthouse as undercover officers provided a description and location of the offenders.
