FBI Raid on Apr. 1, 2016

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police said a man who was shot on Apr. 1 on Teddy Avenue has died from his injuries, according to Ofc. Grace Gatpandan.

On that same day, the FBI raided a home related to the shooting, and the man detained was the same man at the center of a legal battle with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department.

Stanislav Petrov was taken into custody last week, along with several others during the raid.

It is still unclear why the feds were involved.

KRON will continue to monitor this story and bring you updates as soon as they become available, both on-air and online.
